
Saudi Arabia’s climate envoy and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, met with Germany’s Federal Minister for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Carsten Schneider, in Berlin.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation on climate and environmental protection and reviewed recent developments in international climate action, according to a statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry on Saturday.
The discussions also focused on Saudi Arabia’s climate priorities and initiatives aimed at environmental protection and combating desertification.
The meeting was attended by Khalid Al-Angari, director-general of the minister’s office, and Fahd Al-Hathal, acting chargé d’affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Germany.
