JAX Flavors: Culinary Creations Are Coming to Diriyah

The JAX District in Riyadh, a Saudi leading creative hub managed by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, has launched the JAX Flavors initiative, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

JAX Flavors is a culinary initiative designed to celebrate innovative food concepts and culinary entrepreneurs from across the region, in addition to promoting creativity within Riyadh’s rapidly growing food sector.

The initiative provides a dynamic platform for emerging and professional chefs from within the Kingdom and the region to test new ideas, reach broader audiences, and join Diriyah’s vibrant cultural and creative ecosystem.

Furthermore, the initiative welcomes zero-waste food concepts, artisanal bakeries, traditional dishes, and full-service dining restaurants, promoting diversity in taste and talent in the catering industry.

Qualified applicants will have an activation period from 2 to 6 months within JAX District, in conjunction with major art, design, music and fashion events throughout the season.

The JAX Flavors initiative focuses on attracting ideas that demonstrate a meaningful connection and investment in building community relationships; show commitment to quality ingredients, sustainable practices, and responsible sourcing; and showcase emerging and established culinary concepts based in Saudi Arabia and the region.

The initiative will prioritize distinctive food concepts that have a strong narrative around ingredients, sourcing, or culinary influences. Moreover, applicants must be prepared to provide all kitchen and counter equipment necessary for their proposed menu.

JAX Flavors is receiving applications until September 15, 2025.
