The General Administration of Education in the Makkah Region achieved outstanding results at the national final of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO 2026), with student teams securing leading positions in the Robot Sports and Robot Missions categories. The accomplishment reflects students’ growing skills in innovation, programming, and modern technologies.
The Cookies team from Bakka Secondary School for Gifted Students won second place and the silver medal in the Robot Sports category. Meanwhile, the ROBO ALFAALH team from Al-Falah Private Secondary Schools secured third place and the bronze medal in the Robot Missions category, while the Makkah Knights team from Al-Fursan Al-Makkiyah Private Primary School finished fourth in the same category.
These results highlight the General Administration of Education’s efforts to support talent and innovation, develop students’ technical skills, and encourage their participation in scientific and robotics competitions. Such initiatives help identify students’ abilities, refine their skills, and prepare a generation proficient in modern technologies and capable of meeting future demands.
