Saudi Arabia’s Music Commission has signed an executive program with the Philharmonie de Paris to foster music cooperation between both countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The executive program is an integral part of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries’ culture ministries in 2021 and aims primarily to boost collaboration in the field of music.
Crucially, the program seeks to enhance bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas, including artistic exchange and joint productions, music education and talent development.
Furthermore, the deal will provide training for educators and administrators, create educational projects, and safeguard music archives and historical materials.
CEO of the Music Commission, Paul Pacifico, noted that music serves as both a cultural and commercial driver of sustainable growth.
Pacifico also indicated that the current partnership enables the commission to bolster a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic music sector that plays a central role in shaping Saudi Arabia’s evolving cultural landscape.
