‘Adventures in Saudi: Taste of Aseer’ Film Wins Prestigious Award

“Adventures in Saudi: Taste of Aseer” film has won the “Culinary Journeys” category at the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism International Food Film Menu 2024 awards.
The film portrays a close image about the culinary heritage of Saudi Arabia’s Aseer region.
It represents a collaborative effort between “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia” and broadcaster CNBC to shed light on the exceptional diversity of the Kingdom’s cultures and gastronomic heritages.

“Adventures in Saudi: Taste of Aseer” follows the story of two visitors, US travel influencer Mac Candee and his fiancé, Mabelle Chedid, who visit the Kingdom for the first time. The couple presents a clear image about the warm hospitality of the Aseeri people and the links between land and food flavors. During the film, Candee and Chedid explore centuries-old cooking techniques and tasting dishes passed down through generations while visiting a traditional majlis.

Located in the southwest of Saudi Arabia, Aseer is generally known for its farm-to-table ethos offering a very unique experience to visitors around the world.
