The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority (IARDA) has celebrated the licensing of over 40 tour guides who have successfully completed specialized training programs. These guides have met all requirements for certification in both the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism.
IARDA CEO Dr. Talal AlHarigi emphasized that ecotourism is a strategic priority for the authority, playing a crucial role in raising environmental awareness, showcasing natural landscapes, and preserving cultural heritage and biodiversity. He also reiterated IARDA’s commitment to training and empowering specialized national tour guides, recognizing them as key figures in connecting visitors with nature and promoting environmental sustainability.
During the event, Deputy Minister of Data and Decision Support and Acting Deputy Minister of Human Capital Development at the Ministry of Tourism, Eng. Hassan Jannah, highlighted the ministry’s dedication to fostering partnerships for tour guide development. Additionally. he noted that this initiative enhances professionalism, standardizes industry practices, and equips guides to deliver outstanding tourism experiences across Saudi Arabia.
Finall, IARDA remains focused on advancing sustainable ecotourism through close collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism. This initiative supports Vision 2030 by transforming the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve into integrated tourist destinations, enriching visitor experiences and improving quality of life.
