Jeddah Municipality has unveiled its first sandy beach in North Abhar, spanning an impressive 17,640 square meters. This project is a key component of the municipality’s broader initiative to rejuvenate waterfront areas and create high-quality public sandy beaches for residents and visitors alike.
Since its launch, the beach has quickly become a favorite destination for locals and tourists, highlighting the municipality’s commitment to offering safe, accessible, and well-maintained spaces for swimming and water-based recreation. Additionally, the beach is staffed with lifeguards certified by the Saudi Life Saving Federation, who are trained to respond swiftly to emergencies.
As part of the development, marine surveillance towers have been installed to enhance safety and support emergency rescue operations. In line with sustainability goals, solar-powered lighting has been implemented to provide eco-friendly illumination. Additionally, informational signage has been strategically placed to inform beachgoers about rules, regulations, and operating hours.
Looking ahead, the municipality is progressing with plans to develop two additional beaches in North Abhar. One will cover 10,320 square meters, while the other will span a vast 75,000 square meters, further expanding recreational opportunities for the community.
