Saudi Arabia has recently hosted AlUla Trail Race, offering various competitions featuring more than 1450 athletes, Arab News reported.
The contest was available for a vast array of ages through six courses, including the bucket list 100 km Hegra Hundred Ultra-Marathon, according to the event’s website.
The current edition featured a 1.6 km Kids Run and 3 km Sunset Run. As for those enthusiasts to test their limits, the marathon offered an exclusive opportunity to take on the 10 km AlUla Oasis Run.
With a prize pool totaling SR136,000, the AlUla Trail Race has honored the winner of the 100 km Hegra Hundred Ultra-Marathon with SR20,000.
Furthermore, there were cash prizes for the podium finishers of the 10 km AlUla Oasis Run, 23 km Elephant Rock Run, as well as 50 km Al-Mejdar Ultra-Marathon.
Interestingly, the Race Village offered stunning culinary experiences through food trucks, specialty coffee, live entertainment, as well as unmissable opportunities to explore AlUla’s exceptional heritage.
In order to ensure the welfare of runners, the event provided access to recovery zones with physiotherapy services ensuring excellent post-race care.
