Al-Kharj Festival of Saudi Dates and Coffee Records $2.6 mln in Sales
The first Al-Kharj Festival of Saudi Dates and Coffee has recorded great sales that exceeded SR10 million ($2.6 million), the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The festival has attracted several visitors through special offers notably as the holy month of Ramadan is approaching. Visitors also enjoyed access to specialized markets with daily promotions.
Interestingly, the 10-day festival featured 30 companies and shops showcasing more than 26 varieties of dates and related products.
Meanwhile, 20 coffee shops were selling 2 to 3 tonnes of the brew per day. At the same time, the sales were increasing on weekends to nearly 5 tonnes.

Through the support of various government departments as well as institutions within the governorate, the festival highlighted the significance of coffee and dates in the Kingdom’s culture.
Commenting on the festival, Abdulaziz Al-Sharif, the Chairman of the festival’s organizing committee, stated that the occasion provided a valuable opportunity for small- and medium-sized enterprises and specialized companies to have a close connection with a wider audience and display their products.
