
Located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, Tabuk Region is distinguished by its unique and charming nature.
Tabuk boasts an extraordinary topography, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Region features unique juxtapositions of sand and sea; and deserts and mountains; amid the stunning nature that captivates the hearts and minds of beholders.
Over an area exceeding 138,000 kilometers, Tabuk is located between the Nafud Desert to the east and the Red Sea to the west. Five of the Region’s governorates are located off the Red Sea coast. These governorates are: Haql, Duba, Al-Wajh, Umluj, and Al-Bada.
Umluj is among Tabuk’s most attractive destinations, known as the “Saudi Maldives.” It is a collection of 104 islands that have a magnificent nature, with its white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters. Umluj also has a colorful marine life which offers an exceptional opportunity for snorkeling and diving.
Moreover, the Umluj Beach is ranked the 41st in the top 100 beaches in the world in the Golden Beach Awards 2024.
Umluj includes several tourist destinations, including Jabal Hassan Island, Duqm Tourist Park, and Al Manakhah Heritage Museum. Each of these attractions offers a variety of activities that indulge all family members in an immersive experience.
