Saudi Arabia, Brazil Showcase Artistic Harmony at CONEXÃO 2025

Brazil will be the guest country of the second edition of Eltiqa exhibition, held under the theme “CONEXÃO: The Saudi-Brazilian Traditional Arts.”

The event will be held under the patronage of the Saudi Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth), Prince Badr bin Farhan, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Taking place from January 30 to February 1, 2025 at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, CONEXÃO aims to foster cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and Brazil by presenting a unique cultural and artistic experience that highlights the beautiful harmony between the two countries’ arts.

The second edition of Eltiqa event follows the success of the inaugural edition, in which South Korea featured as the guest country in 2023. It emphasizes Wrth’s commitment to fostering an international cultural dialogue.

Eltiqa is an annual event that aims to boost cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and other nations by hosting a country each year to showcase the common elements of traditional arts.

CONEXÃO 2025 includes 10 Saudi and Brazilian traditional performances that conclude with a dance integrating elements of traditional art from both nations. It also features a collaborative artwork co-created by two female artists from Saudi Arabia and Brazil.

Furthermore, the event includes more than 15 cultural experiences, such as workshops and educational activities on performing and visual arts, aimed at deepening cultural understanding and fostering connections between both cultures.

CONEXÃO is part of Wrth‘s initiatives to promote international cultural exchange in Saudi Arabia, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030. To this end, it creates new cultural platforms to raise awareness of traditional arts and support their preservation and promotion both locally and internationally.
