Green spaces, plants, and trees cover vast areas of Jeddah’s northern waterfront, creating beautiful landmarks that attract both residents and visitors to enjoy the facilities spread over more than 700,000 square meters.
The green spaces along Jeddah’s waterfront have become a favorite destination for park-goers. The neatly aligned gardens stretch along the waterfront, with various trees, particularly palm trees, and different types of flowering plants in multiple colors that release delightful fragrances, blending with the sea breeze. This provides a unique experience to spend enjoyable moments throughout the week.
Palm trees and green spaces also line the 4,000-square-meter promenade, creating a picturesque view alongside the colored paths of the trail. The area attracts large numbers of walkers and cyclists who enjoy exercising while taking in the scenic views of the waterfront.
Jeddah Municipality has worked to expand the green areas, aiming to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the waterfront and increase the greenery and plant cover as part of landscaping and beautification projects. This is aligned with initiatives for humanization, visual improvement, and contributing to the Quality of Life Program, which is one of the goals of Vision 2030.
