The flowers of ‘Alalonka’ adorn the gardens, squares, and roads of the Sabya Governorate, along with many other flowering trees and a variety of seasonal flowers and roses that create a festive tableau of natural colors in parks, gardens, and streets.
The ‘Alalonka’ plant, which reaches a height of 80 cm, features thick, oval-shaped green leaves and flowers in various colors, including pink, white, and purple. This attracts photography enthusiasts who wish to capture some pictures during their outings or with family and friends, or even those practicing walking.
The Jazan Region Municipality, represented by the Municipality of Sabya, planted 70,000 seedlings of the Alonka plant during the past week along the Sabya waterfront.
The head of the Sabya Municipality, Engineer Muhammad bin Muhsin Khurmi, confirmed that the municipality is keen to increase green spaces, planting trees and flowers in streets, squares, and gardens. This aims to enhance and diversify the vegetation cover, improve aesthetic appeal, attract tourism to the area, contribute to quality of life, humanize cities, increase green areas, and enhance the urban landscape.
