The Saudi Games, the largest sporting event in Saudi Arabia, is returning for a third season, bringing together elite athletes in a wide range of competitions.
The Saudi Games 2024 will kick off on October 3, 2024 at Boulevard City in Riyadh. The flagship annual event will run until October 17, with a diverse range of sports and competitive activities, such as athletics, badminton, basketball, cycling, golf, jujitsu, padel, rugby, sailing and swimming.
Moreover, the Saudi Games 2024 features a number of newly-recognized and attractive sports, including robotics, skateboarding, e-sports, jet skiing and chess.
Furthermore, the third edition will host several inclusive sports competitions, such as Boccia, Futsal for the deaf, wheelchair basketball, para-powerlifting, para-athletics, and para-table tennis.
In addition, the big sports event aligns with the Saudi Ministry of culture’s initiative, The Year of The Camel, which aims to highlight camels as a significant cultural and historical symbol deeply-rooted in the Saudi society.
Hence, the visual identity of “The Year of the Camel” has been embodied in various aspects of the Saudi Games 2024, including the third edition’s Games Torch, the medals, and the victory bouquet presented to the winners.
Over 9,000 male and female athletes will compete for medals in 52 different sporting events and competitions in different sporting arenas across the Kingdom.
The Saudi Games event underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting the sports sector, fostering the Kingdom’s status as a global hub by hosting an array of global sporting events.
The event also celebrates Saudi Arabia’s culture, through traditional music, dance, and food. Additionally, it serves the objectives of Vision 2030 by promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for all the segments of society.
