
The NEOM Beach Games 2024 are returning in November for more exciting and thrilling sports competitions in Saudi Arabia.
NEOM, the Saudi smart city and one of the Kingdom’s most innovative giga-projects, announced that the third edition of the tournament will start on November 3, 2024 and will last until November 23, 2024.
World-class Athletes
NEOM Beach Games 2024 will bring together 1,000 world-class athletes, coaches and team officials, to compete in six dynamic and challenging sports events, including a beach soccer tournament and desert mountain bike racing.
Promising a more thrilling event, NEOM Beach Games will feature some of the best athletes in the world, such as Olympic gold medalists Cassandre Beaugrand and Alex Yee (triathletes), Worthy De Jong (3×3 basketballer) and Veddriq Leonardo (speed climber).
New Activities
The third edition of the championship will feature a new sports event: the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM. Amid the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea, the event will welcome the world’s top open-water swimmers and serve as the grand finale of the NEOM Beach Games.
The championship will start with a triathlon on November 3, then 3×3 basketball from November 7-9, beach soccer November from 13-16, and mountain biking from November 18-22. Finally, the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM will take place from November 22-23, 2024.

The Managing Director of Sport at NEOM, Jan Paterson, said: “It is hugely exciting to be hosting the NEOM Beach Games for its third edition, including welcoming a number of athletes and medalists from the recent Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”
Paterson added that the introduction of new activities will boost NEOM’s status as global sports destination. “With the addition of the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM and two compact venues at NEOM Bay and Bajdah Desert, we are looking forward to offering an exciting experience for athletes and spectators alike and helping to establish NEOM as a destination for global sports amongst our natural sporting landscapes,” she said.
