
The King Fahd National Library has organized a stunning pavilion at the 2024 Riyadh International Book Fair showcasing various manuscripts.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the pavilion has captured the attention of visitors with six rare historical manuscripts.
These treasures include an Arabic Qur’an manuscript which dates back to 1009 AH and features Persian interpretations in the margins.

The pavilion also features a Hebrew scroll and a manuscript of Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziya’s “Al-Kafiyah Ash-Shafiyah” from 1274 AH.
The pavilion includes other sections such as the registration section which demonstrates the library’s dedication to documenting and preserving Saudi intellectual and cultural heritage.
Furthermore, the interactive screen section offers background about the library’s services and activities through informative videos.

Al-Sadu
The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts has organized a unique pavilion showcasing the traditional art of Al-Sadu, a national heritage and a craft passed down through generations.
Through a visual display of the weaving stages, the pavilion provides visitors with a great chance to discover Al-Sadu tools and techniques.
The institute has also organized a coloring activity that features Al-Sadu patterns in order to foster the Saudi national identity for both local and international visitors.
