Saudi Ministry of Culture has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) to foster the cultural scene of Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Signed during the Cultural Investment Conference, the agreement aims to launch multiple strategic cultural and artistic projects in the Saudi capital.
The deal encompasses several key areas, including aligning the national culture strategy with Riyadh’s strategic goals and boosting joint strategic plans and studies to develop greater integration between the cultural and development sectors in the city.
It also seeks to enhance cooperation in investment to lead the growth of the cultural sector, direct investments toward projects that enrich the cultural landscape and improve the visitor experience, while drawing contributions from both the public and private sectors.

Notably, the MoU focuses on attracting international creative talent and companies by developing appealing environments such as Riyadh’s Creative District, empowering local talent, as well as boosting the value of existing partnerships.
Furthermore, the collaboration also involves promoting cultural content and events, as well as launching programs and initiatives designed to elevate the cultural experience for both residents and visitors of Riyadh.
In the light of this, this deal signals an integrated approach among public sector institutions to advance the national objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. It also highlights the goals of the National Culture Strategy, which aim to make culture a way of life and a driver of economic growth and improve the Kingdom’s cultural presence on the global stage.
