Saudi Arabia to Celebrate World Arabic Language Day in New York

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language will launch several events from Dec. 9 to 11 at UN headquarters to celebrate World Arabic Language Day.

In collaboration with the Permanent Mission of Saudi Arabia to the UN in New York, the events will be held under the auspicious of the Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan.

Themed “Arabic Language and AI — Advancing Innovation While Preserving Cultural Heritage,” the event will bring together several diplomatic figures.

The coming event represents the fourth consecutive year of the celebration. Therefore, it stands as a testament to the academy’s efforts to promote Arabic in global organizations and emphasize the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving language and culture.

Through “Arabic Translation at the UN” panel discussion, the event will feature international experts and a virtual training course on “Arabic Translation Skills for Diplomatic Purposes” for UN staff.

In addition, there will be an accompanying Arabic Language Exhibition boasting stunning artistic works and digital displays mirroring the language’s beauty and history.
