The National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) has introduced a new training initiative designed to educate university students on the principles of the circular economy and recycling. Targeting 19 leading universities across the Kingdom, the program delivers in-depth scientific and technical content developed and presented by MWAN experts.
Through this initiative, students gain exposure to the latest innovations and technologies in waste management, alongside practical insights into best practices for waste treatment and sustainability.

The program’s first phase has already been launched at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah.
MWAN highlighted that nurturing young national talent is a key pillar in driving progress and strengthening economic development. As a leader in the Kingdom’s waste management sector, MWAN continues to adopt international best practices, raise community awareness, and empower local expertise to build a more sustainable future.
