The transport and logistics sector in the Madinah Region has seen consistent growth over the past five years, driven by rising visitor numbers and significant upgrades to road and transport infrastructure.
A recent report from the Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Chamber reveals that commercial registrations in the transport and storage sector surged from 970 in 2019 to 2,817 by the end of 2024—a remarkable 190% increase, with an average annual growth rate of 38%.

This rapid expansion reflects the sector’s response to the growing demand for Hajj and Umrah-related services and the broader increase in visitors to the region. As demand rises, more businesses are entering the market, offering services including group transport, taxi operations, and smart mobility solutions.
The report outlines several promising investment opportunities, such as developing storage facilities near Madinah to support the booming e-commerce sector and speed up delivery services. It also points to potential in launching premium transport options for tourists and Umrah pilgrims, as well as introducing innovative technologies like self-driving vehicles in central areas.
