Saudi Arabia is in for an exciting boxing spectacle as part of Riyadh Season events. On May 3, 2025, Fatal Fury will kick off in the anb Arena, bringing a much-awaited fight for the undisputed super middleweight title between the Mexican champion, Saul “Canelo” Álvarez, and his Cuban challenger, William Scull.
The grand boxing event will begin with a series of exceptional preliminary fights, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). It will start with a middleweight showdown featuring Mexican Jaime Munguía and Frenchman Bruno Surace, in a fast-paced and powerful fight.
Moreover, Congolese boxer Martin Bakole will challenge Nigerian Efe Ajagba in a heavyweight battle. Meanwhile, the cruiserweight division will see a fierce clash between the Swedish Badou Jack and Canadian Ryan Rozicki.

Furthermore, the event will feature a super welterweight fight between Mexican Marco Verde and Michel Polina. It will also see a lightweight bout between Cuban Bryan Leon and Mexican Aaron Guerrero, who seek to carve their names among global boxing legends.
Fatal Fury is the first event for Saul “Canelo” Álvarez to defend his four titles (WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO) outside the US and Mexico, a testament to Riyadh Season‘s growing global status as a major hub for boxing.
The event is also part of a global series of events hosted by Saudi Arabia, in line with the Kingdom’s strategy to establish itself as a leading destination for combat sports and deliver a comprehensive sports entertainment experience for boxing fans locally and globally.
