PFL MENA 2025 is Coming to Jeddah In May

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is making a return to Saudi Arabia on May, expanding its presence in the MENA region.

On May 9, 2025, the second season of PFL MENA will kick off at the Onyx Arena in Jeddah, running until late November. Following the successful debut in 2024, this season focuses on showcasing local and regional talent, providing a professional platform for Middle Eastern fighters to compete with world-class contesters.

Moreover, the event aligns with PFL MENA’s efforts to expand mixed martial arts (MMA) presence in the region and bring international attention to local fighters’ skills.

The second season of PFL will feature Jeddah-based fighters, including the rising star Malik Basahel, who will make his professional debut, and the veteran Ahmed Makki, who will compete for his final bout.

This season also brings together 32 fighters from across the MENA region, competing in the PFL MENA format: one fight, playoffs, and finals. Interestingly, the 2024 featherweight champion, Abdullah “The Reaper” Al-Qahtani, will make a return.

Furthermore, PFL MENA has partnered with Jeddah Season to elevate MMA’s status in the Middle East, provide fans with a world-class tournament, and establish Jeddah’s position as a regional hub for MMA sports.

Jeddah, a beautiful city located along the Red Sea, has solidified its status as a rising hub for global and regional sports events, hosting a wide array of sporting events, from football matches to electric vehicles (EVs) races.
