The Madinah Region produced 344,000 tons of dates annually, ranking third among Saudi Arabia’s regions in date production.

The region accounts for about 18% of the Kingdom’s total date output. Organic date production reaches approximately 4,600 tons a year, reflecting increased adoption of organic farming methods and sustainable agricultural practices.

Dates remain one of the region’s most important agricultural products, supporting farmers and driving commercial activity. The sector also contributes to the growth of date-processing industries, supply chains and marketing activities, as Saudi Arabia continues efforts to strengthen agricultural development and enhance food security.
