In conjunction with the FIFA World Cup 2026, Saudi Arabia will take part in the Fancy Food Show in New York City, the US, as a guest of honor, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
From June 28-30, 2026, the Kingdom will showcase a unique selection of its premium dates, alongside their various manufactured derivatives that have achieved widespread global acclaim.
The Saudi National Center for Palms and Dates is spearheading this effort, aiming at leveraging this major international event to promote Saudi dates and their transformed industries on a global scale.
On this occasion, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the National Center for Palms and Dates Abdulrahman Alfadley highlighted the significance of this participation as a “strategic opportunity” to empower Saudi date producers, build global awareness of premium varieties and downstream products, and drive international export growth.
He also emphasized the need to expand the global footprint of Saudi dates at premier trade shows, citing their superior quality and nutritional benefits. This excellence has fueled rising international demand, surging the value of exports to nearly SAR 2 billion, reinforcing the sector’s contribution to the national economy under the frameworks of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Fancy Food Show is a premier event that bring together thousands of makers, buyers, brokers, distributors, and other industry professionals to discover the a diverse range of products. It hosts more than 30,000 visitors, over 2,400 exhibitors, and participants from around 50 countries.
In light of this, the National Center noted that the Saudi pavilion at the Fancy Food Show features 13 date companies, highlighting global market trends and building on the Kingdom’s expansion into 1,500 major international retail branches.
