Mayada bint Mansour Badr, CEO of the Culinary Arts Commission, met with Paulo Ochoa Ribeiro Filho, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and Minister Plenipotentiary Anial Dutra at the commission’s headquarters. The meeting explored ways to strengthen cooperation in education and cultural exchange, as well as develop experiences combining Saudi and Brazilian cuisines to support the growth of the culinary arts sector and expand its international presence.
The discussions included opportunities to incorporate Saudi and Brazilian food products into joint recipes, including combinations of Saudi dates and Brazilian cheeses. Such initiatives would highlight the diversity of flavors and open new avenues for using local ingredients in the cuisines of both countries.
The meeting also addressed the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and experiences between Saudi and Brazilian chefs. This would help enhance their skills through exposure to professional practices and ingredient-use techniques in both countries, supporting innovation and strengthening communication among industry professionals.
On the educational front, the participants reviewed opportunities for joint work with culinary arts schools and institutes. They also discussed benefiting from educational expertise to build capabilities, develop specialized skills, and prepare national talent.
The meeting further explored prospects for cultural exchange and considered various ways to connect Saudi and Brazilian culinary cultures through future initiatives.
