The beaches and waterfronts of Jeddah Governorate are attracting growing numbers of residents, visitors and tourists during the 2026 summer season, reinforcing the city’s position as Saudi Arabia’s leading tourism destination. This appeal is supported by advanced infrastructure and strong operational capabilities that cater to enthusiasts of water sports and beach activities.

South Obhur Beach has emerged as a model public destination, offering open swimming pools, modern facilities and beach games suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds. Specialized sailing and kitesurfing training centers are also becoming increasingly popular, benefiting from stable winds and the suitability of Jeddah’s coastline for marine adventures.

Meanwhile, Jeddah Creek Beach has established itself as a major water-sports attraction, offering activities such as jet skiing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and speedboat trips to offshore islands. Visitors can also go diving and explore the distinctive coral reefs for which the Red Sea is renowned.
To enhance visitor safety, Jeddah Municipality, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, has implemented comprehensive operational and field plans. These measures include deploying 66 male and female lifeguards and 34 field supervisors around the clock to ensure compliance with safe-swimming guidelines and respond promptly to emergencies.
