Art Jameel Expands Jeddah’s Cultural Landscape with Dynamic Contemporary Arts Program

Art Jameel enhanced Jeddah’s cultural landscape with a rich and varied creative program, reinforcing the role of contemporary arts in the city.
Throughout April, Hayy Jameel hosted a dynamic lineup of cultural and artistic activities that reflected the energy of Jeddah’s creative community. The program brought together performances, hands-on training, and community-driven initiatives, strengthening engagement with both artistic expression and broader social and environmental themes.
Highlights included experimental film screenings that traced the evolution of cinema, as well as interactive sessions where artists and creators could share ideas and experiences, contributing to a more connected and thriving creative network.

The month also introduced specialized training opportunities for young people, aimed at building artistic skills through practical, studio-based learning and immersive creative experiences.
In the realm of crafts and applied arts, “Hayy Makers” offered a series of focused workshops in ceramics and handicrafts, helping participants develop technical skills and expand their creative abilities within an inspiring learning environment.

Marking Earth Day, the program featured environmentally focused activities such as recycling workshops that transformed waste into art, alongside interactive sessions on organic farming and composting. These initiatives encouraged sustainable thinking and responsible environmental practices.
Additionally, art exhibitions and visual commissions provided contemporary artists with opportunities to showcase their work in public spaces, fostering meaningful visual dialogue with the wider community.
