The Diriyah Biennale Foundation has unveiled the closing-week program for the third edition of the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale, scheduled from April 25 to May 2, 2026, at the JAX District.
This final stretch represents a climactic moment for the biennale, which has brought together artists, institutions, and audiences from around the world. The event will conclude with a dynamic lineup of public activities, live performances, and artist talks.
Cultural programming has been at the heart of the foundation’s mission, expanding beyond the exhibition itself to create an ongoing platform for dialogue, education, and creative exchange. The closing week reinforces this vision with a packed and diverse schedule accessible to all visitors.

Key highlights include two major live performances on April 30 and May 1. The latter, titled “Time of the Burning Horizon,” continues the biennale’s exploration of themes such as time, memory, and materiality.
Artist talks will feature a wide range of participating creatives and thinkers. On April 30, audiences can attend a series of stage performances, followed on May 1 by in-depth conversations with artists.
On May 2, the program includes a talk and a presentation titled “From the Dust of This Planet.” Additionally, Learning Guide Sessions will offer deeper engagement with works by artists including Amina Saoudi Aït Khay, Abdullah Al Saadi, Mohammad Al-Ghamdi, Pacita Abad, Elias Sime, and Faisal Samra.

JAX Open Studios
The closing week also extends into the wider creative scene of the JAX District. “JAX Open Studios” will take place on the evenings of April 30 and May 2, giving visitors access to the studios of artists such as Muhannad Shono, Saleh Al Ajmi, Nora Bin Saidan, and Hadeel Alhussein.
Tenants across the district will contribute to the festivities, with events ranging from exhibitions at ATHR Gallery to artist-led tours at the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMOCA), as well as live performances at Warehouse and gatherings at Beast House.
Alongside the artistic programming, visitors can enjoy a lively mix of culinary and retail experiences, including chef stations, DJ sets, and stalls from independent vendors offering ceramics, textiles, and handcrafted goods, in addition to the biennale’s pop-up store.
