The third edition of the Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan 2025) will take place in Riyadh from November 13-26, 2025, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Under the patronage of the Saudi Culture Minister and Chairman of the Heritage Commission, Prince Badr bin Farhan, more than 40 countries, 20 partners and 400 local craftspeople will participate in the event.
In conjunction with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, the Saudi International Handicrafts Week aims to display local and global handicrafts.
Furthermore, the event aims to encourage and empower local craftsmen and craftswomen by offering a global platform to leverage their skills and boost their market presence.
The Guest of Honor for this year’s edition will be China, showcasing its captivating craftsmanship to promote cultural exchange and boost bilateral cooperation. Syria will also make its first participation, displaying its unique traditional arts and products.
Banan 2025 will immerse visitors in a rich cultural experience, featuring interactive activities, specialized workshops, pavilions showcasing local and global handicrafts, a children area, and platforms for entrepreneurs.
It will also highlight the House of Artisans initiative, launched by the Heritage Commission to support craftspeople across Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the event will host a dedicated pavilion for the Year of Handicrafts 2025 initiative.
The Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan) aligns with the Heritage Commission’s efforts to boost handicrafts as an essential part of the national identity, promote the cultural sector and achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
In the light of this, Banan received world-class awards, including Paris Design Award, iF Design Award, and BETTER FUTURE London Design Award 2025.
