Abha to Host Film Criticism Forum on August 21

Abha is set to host the Film Criticism Forum on August 21, marking the first in a series of forums planned for the year, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The forum seeks to promote film criticism and expand the scope of cultural and intellectual dialogue across Saudi Arabia.

Themed “Cinema… The Art of Place,” the Abha Forum will serve as a dialogue and intellectual platform that significantly celebrates the intersection of architecture and cinematic imagery.

The program features critical sessions delving into the relationship between cinema and architecture, along with dialogue seminars that unleash new horizons of dialogue and knowledge exchange.

Interestingly, the forum will conclude with a special film screening, followed by an open meeting with the director. Therefore, the audience will have a unique opportunity to explore the details of the film and the director’s creative vision.

The event will also feature a range of cultural activities and events inspired by the region’s heritage, enriching the audience’s experience and boosting engagement with themes of architecture and cinema.
