AlUla Celebrates Local Produce with Summer Fruits Season

The Royal Commission for AlUla has officially kicked off its Summer Fruit Season, signaling the beginning of the region’s wider harvest period, according to the Saudi Press Agency

Held at Al‑Manshiyah Farmers Market from July 22 to 28the event highlights AlUla’s several renowned produce such as dates, citrus, peregrine, and honey seasons.

The event offers farmers and local families a valuable platform to showcase a variety of fruits, promoting sustainable agriculture and contributing to economic growth.

By organizing the Summer Fruit Season, the commission aims to drive economic growth by supporting community-driven initiatives within AlUla’s 5,000 farms, home to over 50,000 trees.

Covering more than 125,000 hectares, AlUla’s mango farms produce over 1,125 tons annually, while fig, grape, and pomegranate farms yield more than 3,141 tons.

The commission has been actively developing AlUla’s agricultural sector, supporting economic opportunities and encouraging competitivity among farmers. This has led to the creation of various local job opportunities and provided visitors with distinctive agricultural tourism experiences.
