The Prophet’s Mosque Expansion Exhibition stands as a living proof of the exquisite Islamic architecture of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Spanning over 2,200 square meters south of the mosque, the exhibition offers cultural and historical glimpses into the Islamic architecture.
The exhibition displays intricate architectural details, such as the minbar and mihrab, domes and canopies, doors and minarets, courtyards, and visitor-friendly services.
Through a modern advanced style, the exhibition offers multilingual murals and displays, ensuring a rich and integrated knowledge experience.
Interestingly, the event takes visitors on a journey through time, beginning with the laying of the first bricks of the mosque by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and his noble companions, passing through the various eras that witnessed several expansions and developments. Such expansions added a unique touch of beauty and creativity to the mosque.
In order to enrich visitor experience, the exhibition also features the latest state-of-the-art technologies, with interactive screens enabling visitors to explore the details of the mosque’s architecture.
