Al-Baha Glows Green in Saudi Founding Day 2026

The Al-Baha Municipality building shined with a dazzling green glow, marking the celebration of the Saudi Founding Day, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

This patriotic display reflected profound feelings of reverence and honor in a deep rich history that spans across nearly three centuries.

Saudi Founding Day marks the establishment of the first Saudi state in 1727, when Imam Muhammad bin Saud laid the foundations of governance in Diriyah.

The day was introduced as an official holiday in 2022, becoming one of the Kingdom’s three non-religious national observances.

The commemoration is more than a date on the calendar, it is a cultural embodiment of ancestry, heritage, and national identity.

To celebrate Founding Day in Al-Baha, the municipality has highlighted the national identity throughout the urban landscape.

These activities reflected the region’s deep sense of belonging and loyalty to the wise leadership while showing the region’s enduring connection to its proud history.

Celebrated with honor and joy across the Kingdom, the day included magnificent traditional performances, cultural exhibitions, public festivities, and different concerts.

This year, the Founding Day coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, adding a spiritual touch to the national celebrations.
