ISESCO, Libya Sign MoU to Train Youth in Fields of Technical Sciences

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the National Council for Economic and Social Development of Libya signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Rabat today. The agreement aims to establish a framework for cooperation and coordination in training and preparing youth in the fields of technical sciences, promoting the values of citizenship and a culture of peace, and fostering cultural exchange between the two parties.

The memorandum, signed on behalf of ICESCO by its Director-General, Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, and on behalf of Libya by the Director-General of the National Council for Economic and Social Development, Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Fteisi, stipulates the design of vocational training programs for Libyan youth in the fields of technical sciences, diplomatic leadership, and citizenship, as well as promoting a culture of peace. Additionally, it includes supporting the council in the issuance of international reports related to the implementation of sustainable development goals in Libya, cultural exchange, and providing training opportunities for Libyan youth at ICESCO.

The memorandum also stipulates leveraging ICESCO’s expertise to support the Libyan council’s strategy in raising awareness about the dangers of drug and psychoactive substance abuse.
