
Equestrian sports are very popular in Al-Baha region especially during the current summer season. Several visitors including tourist and local residents are excitedly eager to closely deal with these magnificent creatures and have a deep look at the rich equestrian heritage of Saudi Arabia.

Located in Al-Aqiq Governorate, northeast of Al-Baha region, Fal Alaeez Equestrian Center stands as a favorable destination providing visitors with an exception opportunity to appreciate the elegance of purebred horses while immersing them in a series of cultural and entertainment activities.

“The center was established 5 years ago and features the first academy specialized in equestrian training under the umbrella of the Saudi Equestrian Federation,” Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fal Alaeez Equestrian Center, Hamad Mohammed Al-Rifai told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Al-Rifai indicated that the center boasts various facilities, such as:
- An official show jumping arena
- A warm-up arena
- Stands that can accommodate more than 500 spectators
- 50 rooms to house horses
- A room for referees and media personnel
- Green spaces
- A café
- A garden for birds and pets

He also highlighted that approximately 102 male and female riders have been trained in the basics of horse riding by accredited trainers from the Saudi Equestrian Federation.

Al-Baha is currently witnessing the establishment of several stables and training centers for equestrianism under the supervision of all relevant parties and in accordance with official procedures.
