Konoz Initiative, one of Saudi Ministry of Media’s initiatives, has announced a new documentary series titled “+966”, addressing issues that resonate deeply with citizens and connect directly to their everyday lives, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The series perfectly mirrors the Konoz Initiative’s vision: uncovering untold stories from across the Kingdom and presenting them as part of global human history.
The title “+966” draws on the Kingdom’s international dialing code, marking a recognizable national marker that distinguishes Saudi Arabia on the global stage.
Each episode explores various themes of interest to citizens, reflecting their cultural identity, from the role of social media in daily life to the history of singing in the Kingdom, the richness of the Arabic language, and other subjects woven into public discourse.

The series is airing on Saudi Channel, Cultural Channel, and SBC. It is also available on digital platforms including Shahid and STC TV, as well as onboard Saudi Airlines.
The Konoz initiative, part of the Human Capacity Development Program, aims to showcase the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage and civilizational contributions.
It also highlights the accomplishments of Saudi citizens across several fields through documentaries, short films, and animated productions, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
