The Destination: A Documentary Capturing Saudi Arabia’s Transformation Journey

Konoz, a Saudi Media Ministry’s initiative, released The Destination documentary as part of its efforts to showcase the Kingdom’s cultural richness and intellectual contributions.

The Destination highlights Saudi Arabia’s outstanding transformation journey and its emergence as a leader across politics, economics, sports and culture under the ambitious Vision 2030.

The documentary, released on July 6, 2025, shows how the Kingdom has implemented a series of reforms and major changes across political, economic, medical, sports, culture and media sectors which has positioned it as a destination that the world aspires to. It spotlights the mega projects and groundbreaking initiatives that help Saudi Arabia in advancing its national goals while looking into the future.

By displaying visually striking images from around the Kingdom’s regions, The Destination creates a vivid portrait of Saudi Arabia’s development and progress toward becoming a global leader across various fields.

Moreover, the documentary features narratives from decisionmakers and experts who have been influential in the Kingdom’s transformation journey. They include Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS), Prince Turki Al-Faisal; Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud; and Advisor to the Secretariat General Council of Ministers; Mazen Al-Sudairi.

They also include CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Jerry Inzerillo; and Head of Cardiac Surgery Department at King Faisal Specialist Hospital (KFSHRC), Dr. Firas Khalil.

Furthermore, The Destination demonstrates how Saudi Arabia is empowering local talent and adopting cultural innovation through genuine stories that showcase the human dimension and celebrate the Kingdom’s geographical diversity and state-of-the-art projects.

The documentary is available on several platforms, including Shahid, STC TV, Saudi TV channels, and YouTube, in addition to the Saudi Ministry of Media and Konoz platforms.
