Saudi Tala Al Mazroa Makes History at Asian Games

Tala Al Mazroa has unfolded a new chapter in Saudi women’s sports, becoming the first Saudi female athlete to win a gold medal at the Asian Games, according to Gulf News.

Al Mazroa has competed in the eFootball tournament, showing a historic and undefeated performance that mirrors her unique talent and strong determination.

The Saudi athlete secured the gold medal in the eFootball competition at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain 2025, making history as the first Saudi woman ever to win a medal at any edition of the Asian Games, whether senior, youth, or indoor and martial arts.

During the tournament, Al Mazroa defeated her Laotian opponent in the semi-final with scores of 2–1 and 3–0. Meanwhile, she achieved victory over Thailand’s competitor with a clean 3–0 in the final match.

Her success represents a powerful symbol of change in Saudi women’s sports, highlighting the Kingdom’s transformation journey towards women’s empowerment in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

It also stands as a testament to the Saudi leadership’s ongoing efforts to empower women across all sporting fields and open new avenues for their participation in global events.
