Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has won the “Digitally Distinguished Government Entity” award at the seventh edition of the 2026 GCC Digital Government Award. The recognition honors its efforts to develop digital services for the Guests of Allah, improve service efficiency and enhance the beneficiary experience.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah’s Deputy Dr. Abdulfattah bin Sulaiman Mashat received the award on Wednesday during the winners’ ceremony in Bahrain, held alongside the 10th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Digital Government.

The ministry’s digital ecosystem serves more than 50 million Nusuk users worldwide and offers more than 500 digital services. It is integrated with more than 70 local and international entities to serve Umrah performers, Hajj pilgrims and visitors.

The ministry continues to expand its use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence to serve the Guests of Allah through a range of digital solutions.

The GCC Digital Government Award recognizes outstanding digital initiatives and projects, encourages innovation, and promotes the development of digital government practices across GCC countries. Saudi Arabia won four awards in this year’s edition, including the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s award for digital excellence, reflecting the progress and diversity of the Kingdom’s digital experiences across various fields.
