Saudi Arabia Launches Murshiduk Al-Zira’i App to Support Farmers

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has launched Murshiduk Al-Zira’i app to further empower farmers across the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

This move represents a major part of the ministry’s “With You Always” campaign to modernize the agriculture sector and maintain its sustainability.

Through this smart agricultural guide, farmers can get swift technical assistance and expert guidance on various topics, from initial land preparation to final harvest operations.

With 441 accredited specialists across several agricultural disciplines, the app provides immediate consultation services for farmers and landholders.

Therefore, the app will reduce dependence on non-evidence-based farming practices while enabling data-driven decisions that boost productivity, minimize operational costs and prevent cultivation errors.

Interestingly, the app has secured multiple awards such as the Digital Government Award (Best Arabic Application) and the UN Award for Sustainable Development, along with attaining the internationally recognized ISO quality certification.

App users can also get weather condition alerts sourced directly from the National Center of Meteorology, live-streamed guidance sessions as well as educational articles and informational resources.

The app is free to download on both iOS and Android, with the ministry encouraging all those working in the agriculture sector to use it.

This initiative perfectly aligns with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 of modernizing the agricultural sector, supporting economic diversification, and ensuring sustainable development.
