Taif’s rural lodges and resorts are attracting a steady flow of visitors during the summer, as travelers seek the governorate’s cool climate and scenic landscapes. Nestled among mountains, orchards, and farms, the properties offer a tranquil setting that combines nature with the region’s traditional rural character.

Spread across the highlands and green countryside, the lodges feature architecture inspired by local heritage while offering modern accommodation and outdoor activities. Tour guide Saud Al-Otaibi said the growth of rural lodges has expanded Taif’s tourism offering by providing visitors with immersive experiences connected to the local environment. Moreover, guests can pick seasonal fruit, learn about the area’s agricultural products, and enjoy a range of outdoor activities in natural surroundings.

Author and cultural writer Atta Allah Al-Juaid said the lodges have evolved beyond places to stay, serving as venues that highlight the region’s cultural heritage through traditional events and folk performances. He added that they also help promote environmental awareness and preserve local identity.
