More than 65,000 people gathered at public viewing venues across Riyadh and its governorates to watch Saudi Arabia’s matches during its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, according to Riyadh Municipality.

The municipality set up viewing sites at Madinaty offices, Riyadh Oases, public parks and municipal theaters, with facilities designed to accommodate fans and recreate the atmosphere of a football stadium.

The initiative formed part of the municipality’s broader community engagement program, which aims to encourage public participation and improve quality of life across the capital.
