
For the first time in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia will host the Drone Racing World Cup 2025, from January 23-25 at Boulevard City in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The prestigious event will bring together 140 elite pilots from more than 50 countries to showcase their unparalleled skills in thrilling and high-speed races, with a prize pool exceeding SAR 1mn. Riyadh’s sky will see a spectacular drone competition, with speeds surpassing 350 km/h.
The Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Al Al-Sheikh, announced that Riyadh Season will sponsor the Drone Racing World Cup 2025. The event will be organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, in partnership with the World Air Sports Federation (FAI).

The event will act as a platform for displaying technological innovation and underscoring Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promote a more prosperous future for youth, as the event aims to inspire a new generation of innovators and drone technology enthusiasts.
The Drone Racing World Cup 2025 will mark the opening round of a series of drone competitions that will take place in drone racing hubs across the world, including South Korea, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Sweden.
The exciting event will feature many entertainment and interactive activities that present lucrative prizes. These include the Flying Experience Zone, the VR Drone Experience Zone, the Drone Lab workshop, and the Drone Drag Race.
