Saudi Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa Expands Business Opportunities

The second Saudi Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa governorate has played a central role in strengthening the Asir’s region position as a major tourism and economic hub in the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Held under the patronage of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir region and Chairman of the Asir Development Authority, the four-day event attracted the attention of several visitors across the Kingdom.

The event witnessed a great sale of 5,945 kg of coffee and over SR380,000 ($101,300) in revenue.

Interestingly, the festival offered an exclusive opportunity for over 30 farmers to display their coffee products, expand business opportunities, as well as reach global markets.

In addition, the event highlighted the participation of 38 exhibitors, including cottage industry families and artisans who showed exceptional talents in combining traditional farming techniques with modern agricultural technology.

The CEO of the Rijal Almaa Coffee Cooperative Association, Ali Sayyad, described the platform as a valuable and vital platform for marketing local products, specifically Saudi coffee.

Sayyad also stressed that growing interest in coffee cultivation has promoted income levels and raised awareness of preserving this agricultural heritage.

In recent years, residents have redeveloped several old farms through the use of modern cultivation techniques.
