Jizan city is embarking on a new chapter of urban development as the Jazan Municipality begins work on the King Fahd Road Park.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the new project aims to establish a modern destination that integrates sports, entertainment, and essential services. This initiative draws on Jazan’s strategic coastal position and diverse natural assets, which have already established its urban centers as key hubs for investment and tourism.
The project covers a total area of 8,440 square meters and emphasizes a harmonious blend of nature and functionality. It also features expansive green gardens and open seating areas complemented by a 60-square-meter facility block.
To promote an active lifestyle, the design includes modern walkways, a recreational promenade, and a dedicated cycling lane. These features provide an ideal setting for relaxation and fitness, ensuring that the park serves as a comfortable retreat within the bustling city.
In addition to its natural appeal, the park serves as a center for community engagement through various sports courts and a new padel court. A specialized play area for children ensures that the site caters to all age groups and supports local physical activity initiatives.
The visitor experience is completed with 144 square meters for restaurants and 120 square meters for cafes. These additions strengthen the local economy while offering the convenience of an integrated urban destination.
The construction of King Fahd Road Park reflects the municipality’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life and expanding public amenities.
By focusing on urban humanization and the growth of green spaces, the project aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. These efforts ensure the creation of a more vibrant, sustainable, and attractive environment that meets the high expectations of both Jazan’s residents and its visitors.
