Saudi Arabia’s Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is showcasing the Kingdom’s robust cultural movement at the Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair 2026.
Taking place from May 1-10, 2026, the event’s 31st edition hosts the Saudi pavilion, highlighting the Kingdom’s rich literary landscape and cultural creativity.

The pavilion hosts a collection of Saudi government agencies and cultural institutions, including the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex, and the King Abdulaziz Public Library.
Additionally, it features Princess Nourah University, the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, the Arab Observatory for Translation, the Ministry of Justice, and the Saudi Cultural Mission in Rabat.

Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Commission’s CEO, Abdullatif Alwasel, said that the Kingdom’s participation reaffirms the depth of historical and cultural relations between Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
Furthermore, it allows Arab audiences to learn more about contemporary Saudi literary and intellectual movement under Vision 2030.
He added that Saudi Arabia fosters writers and publishers by enabling new opportunities for cultural collaboration and expertise exchange. In light of this, Alwasel said that the Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair 2026 acts as a key platform for promoting cultural dialogue and knowledge exchange among intellectuals from both countries.

The Saudi pavilion also hosts a range of panel discussions, poetry events and workshops that bring together an elite of Saudi and Moroccan writers and publishers to discuss key issues related to the sector and highlight Saudi cultural impact on the local and international stages.
