Saudi Arabia Launches HUMAIN Chat AI App for Arabic-Speaking World

In a major milestone toward AI leadership, Saudi Arabia has launched HUMAIN Chat – a sovereign AI App that is deeply rooted in the region’s cultural identity and promotes linguistic equity and global competitiveness.

The HUMAIN Chat is a Saudi-developed and Saudi-hosted AI launched by the PIF-owned HUMAIN, an AI company aimed at developing Arabic large language models (LLMs) and advancing the Kingdom’s AI ambitions as part of Vision 2030 objectives.

The innovative app is powered by ALLAM 34B, the most advanced Arabic LLM built in the Arab world, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Targeting over 400 million Arabic speakers and two billion Muslims worldwide, HUMAIN Chat aims to close a historical gap in digital inclusion and enhance linguistic equality, enabling users to create, learn, and connect in their own language, culture, and context.

Moreover, ALLAM 34B is fully bilingual in English, trained on an exceptionally large Arabic dataset, and refined with input from 600+ domain experts and 250 evaluators, resulting in an unmatched fluency in Arabic and deep alignment with Islamic, Middle Eastern, and cultural nuance.

The AI app offers unique features for its users, including real-time web search for always up-to-date knowledge, Arabic speech input across multiple dialects, seamless bilingual switching between Arabic and English within the same conversation, conversation sharing to enable collaboration and reuse, and full compliance with Saudi PDPL, hosted end-to-end on HUMAIN infrastructure in the Kingdom.

HUMAIN Chat will initially launch in Saudi Arabia, before expanding to the Middle East and the entire world. The AI app is currently available on web, iOS, and Android.
