The Ministry of Tourism has intensified its inspection efforts on various destination across the Kingdom in coincidence with Saudi Summer season, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
These efforts aim primarily to ensure that hospitality facilities obtain their necessary licenses and align with approved quality standards.
The tours included numerous regions and cities over the past two months such as Aseer, Al-Baha, Taif, and Jeddah.
Furthermore, the inspection teams conducted more than 2,800 visits to summer destinations in order to evaluate the quality of services and necessary licenses.
The teams also inspected the availability of safety requirements and cleanliness levels.
Importantly, the ministry stressed the importance of providing high-quality services and committing to the ministry’s approved requirements. It also warned that individuals or entities violating the requirements shall face various penalties such as a fine of up to one million riyals, the closure of the facility, or both.
To listen to new suggestions and inquiries, the ministry has also held several meetings with investors and operators of hospitality facilities in summer tourist destinations.
The authorities urged tourists and visitors to report any concerns regarding hospitality services by contacting the Unified Tourism Center at (930) to take necessary actions and ensure seamless experiences.
