
The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has officially inaugurated the SEF Arena, the largest gaming and Esports zone in the world, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Located in Boulevard City Riyadh, the SEF Arena marks a key milestone in the gaming and Esports sector in Saudi Arabia. It stands out with cutting-edge design and infrastructure, as well as high-quality facilities that cater to the needs of all gaming and Esports enthusiasts.
The SEF Arena features flexible 11,000 sqm Esports stages for hosting major events; SEF Academy for training Saudi talents; SEF Studio for high-quality content and live event coverage; and halls and shared spaces for industry events and activities.
It also provides a platform for hosting domestic competitive leagues, such as the Saudi eLeague Elites, Women’s League, Fighting League and Challenger League.
During a press conference, the CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation, Turki Alfawzan, noted that SEF Arena serves as a platform for showcasing the potential and talent of Saudi youth in this promising sector and inspiring future players and investors.
Moreover, the SEF Arena inauguration marks a major progress towards realizing the objectives of the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, launched by the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman.
Alfawzan added that SEF Arena will utilize advanced technologies, making it a critical hub for the innovation and advancement of the Saudi gaming and Esports sector.
The press conference also saw the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the Saudi Esports Federation and prominent Saudi entities and clubs. This collaboration bolsters the sector’s growth and sustainability, creating jobs for talents and graduates of the Saudi Esports Academy.
