Riyadh Municipality has launched the Cultural Tent event at Tahlia Oasis in Riyadh to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Riyadh Cultural Tent aims to showcase the Saudi culture and heritage through a diverse array of events which combine authenticity and modernity. These include cultural events and competitions, arts shows, and family-friendly activities.
Taking place on March 18-19, 2025, the Tent features activities curated for families and children. These include a corner for face-painting, traditional games that foster the national identity, a PlayStation League and other electronic game competitions that suit all age groups.
Moreover, it includes an exhibition for rare books, historical manuscripts, and archival photos that showcase Riyadh’s cultural and historical heritage. It also displays the diversity of the Saudi cuisine through live cooking shows and supports entrepreneurs through a dedicated corner for stores.
Furthermore, the Riyadh Cultural Tent provides visitors with a platform to interact with literature, arts and folk heritage. It hosts poetry nights, art performances and cultural competitions to foster community bonds and enrich visitors’ experience during Ramadan.
The Riyadh Cultural Tent event aligns with Riyadh Municipality‘s strategy to enrich the cultural experience and strengthen the national identity in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. To this end, the Riyadh Municipality has launched sustainable cultural projects that improve the quality of life for residents in the Saudi capital.
